The next prerequisite is to verify roles and features to the server with Counterpoint. Server Manager is a built-in Microsoft application that allows users to manage their various Microsoft servers.
1. Find the search-box in the taskbar.
2. Type in "server" in search-bar.
3. Select "Server Manager"(Desktop app).
After entering "Server Manager", the installer will navigate to the server to add roles and features.
1. In Server Manager, select Local Server or All Servers.
2. Scroll down to "Roles and Features".
3. Select "Tasks".
4. Select add "Roles and Features".
5. Click next on the "Before You Begin" screen.
6. Select "Role-Based or Featured Based" as an installation type.
7. Click "Next".
8. Select server with Counterpoint as "Server Selection".
9: Click "Next".
Next, The user will verify specific roles and features to the server.
1. Scroll down and expand "Web Server(IIS)" area.
2. Expand "Web Server" sub-area.
3. Expand common "HTTP Features" area.
4. Check off every HTTP feature besides “WebDAV Publishing”.
5. Expand "Health and Diagnostics".
6. Check off "HTTP Logging, Logging Tools and Request Monitor" if not checked.
7. Expand and check off both "Performance" options.
8. Expand Application Development.
9. Check off “.NET 4.5 Extensibility or later” , “ASP.NET 4.5 or later”, “ISAPI Extensions, and “ISAPI Filters” if not checked.
10. Expand Security and check off all options if not checked .
11. Expand "Management Tools".
12. Expand the "IIS 6 Management Compatibility" sub-area.
13. Check off "IIS Management Console," "IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility, “IIS Management Scripts and Tools, and Management Service".
14. Click "Next".
15."Features" can remain with its default settings (click "Next").
16. Finalize "Roles and Features".
17. Click" Install".
18. Close after install.
